Our feature store of the month is:
Movies and More ©2000
Rating:
out of a possible 6 starfish.

Hi my name is Jerry Vandeveer I will be reviewing from month to month various bookstore web sites and so forth. I will be looking for Navigation, ease of use, selection, and overall look and feel of the site. I am sure that we wont all agree, but I will give an unbiased review of any store featured in our "Bookstore of the month". Incidentally if you are a store owner if your site is featured then you will have a permanent link to our "Bookstore of the Month Club" which I will affectionately refer to as the "BMC".
well thats all the time I am going to waste on that. Now to get reviewing this Movies and More. Well just as the title sounds it's a more over super store. When I first clicked that link and I waited for it to pop up I was like what the hell is this. It was like I was in a movie website. The first thing I saw was an ad for "Scary Movie" which by the way I happened to think waanywayss pretty funny. Especially the creative uses for aquariums part, but anyways. I thought to myself this is got to be the wtong site, then I looked at the menu and saw books as number one. So I gave it a whirl and While I didn't find a huge amount of selections they were very thourough as to giving me a date specifics and a general feel for the book. Not really it was Okay I looked up cichlids and found four books. Then I tried Aquaria and got four books, 1 movie, and 2 CD's. So I thought well what the heck lets try aquariums just for shoots and ladders. holy smokes I got videos on setting them up keeping them going and Cd's of (hell I have no idea what an aquarium CD has on it, maybe some dolphins or something who knows). Then I got about six or seven books. The selection wasn't huge but if I was just starting out I probably would have preferred a DVD over reading some manual and then getting fed up with all the nonsense saying "Screw it I am just gonna dump this in and if the fish live they live". That Ironically describes my first aquarium experience. I got fed up with reading about ph and chloramines and not knowing what any of it really meant. So I finally said what the hell I'm not even going to cycle my water. Needless to say the floating fish were a plenty. Oh well I've gotten better since then. So as far as giving this site a rating I give it Four Starfish for being easy to navigate, easy to use and it gave a variety of mediums to choose from, if you don't want to read some half baked manual or some war and peace look-alike book, you can simply order an Informational DVD to help get you started. I looked up various breeds and found info on them all. Not a great deal of books but I found one at least for every breed that I entered. So you can definately find what it is you are looking for or something real close. As far as ease of use they get an "A" this rules you can look up piranha and get the movie or some leterature or even a CD, all from one search, or you can specify books only. I found that to be pretty snappy also you they have a pretty easy to use shopping cart that doesen't involve a great deal of dilly dallying around. So thats why I gave them a four out of possible six starfish.
